Sleep well, sweetheart

This is my lovely husband, Keith, who died this morning. Although alcoholism made life unbearable these last few years, I have over 20 years of very happy memories before that.

Praise God I was with him when he went, and he died very peacefully in his sleep. (in hospital) He was very afraid of dying, so I'm glad I could be there to help him move on. They say hearing is the last thing to go, so I told him not to be scared and to go on to his Maker, meeting with his Mum, Dad, brother and our stillborn daughter. Like me, his faith beliefs were mostly Christian, with a bit of Pagan too, so I also held a Yew sprig to his forehead reminding him it is a symbol of endings and beginnings; the end of this life but the beginning of a whole new adventure.

God bless you my sweetheart. See you again one day x x x x

  1. Hawthorne,

I am sorry to hear this news. I was not aware that your husband had been ill for the past couple of years. I will be praying for you, Dear Sister.
